Question One: What is the normal procedure for booking?

We can either schedule a phone interview or meet in person to discuss any questions not addressed on the site. If you'd like to meet in person, I have album, prints, and other product samples for you to see. I live in Beaver Falls, PA so I usually meet my Pittsburgh brides in Robinson Town Center or in Cranberry. If you are from somewhere other than Pittsburgh, you can either come to Beaver Falls or we can meet halfway between us. Coffee shops work nicely.

The retainer fee to officially book your date is a non-refundable $500. The remaining amount would be due 30 days before the wedding. A payment schedule can be set up if you prefer.

Question Two: Where would we shoot an Engagement Session?

The best place is one that reflects who you and your fiance are. You may choose an urban setting, a green space - such as a park or botanical garden, or something high contrast - for instance, an area with old buildings. If nothing comes to mind, I'd be happy to offer suggestions!

Question Three: How did you become a wedding photographer?

I started out in a portrait studio and found that it was a little confining. I wanted to be free to express my creativity so I started looking for areas in photography that allowed me to do that. As I began to research the possibilities, I was surprised to find that there were some amazingly talented wedding photographers who were more than happy to help me get my start. I found that wedding photography didn't have to be stuffy and boring - it could be anything I wanted to it be. That was three years ago, and since then, I have continued to find that there are no boundaries to the art of wedding photography. It can be edgy, dramatic, emotional, classically beautiful, and always - so much fun. I love it when my couples trust me completely and give me the freedom to create unique and gorgeous photos for them!
